The lights are twinkling, the smell of mulled wine and mince pies are in the air. Yes, that’s right, Christmas time is here! Whilst most businesses are starting to slow down ready for the festive close down, we (and all other accountants out there) are working at 100mph to make sure that all the tax returns get filed before the end of January.

Keeping Current With Xero
As proactive and forward-thinking accountants it’s so important for us to keep up with the evolution of cloud based bookkeeping technology, so that we can effectively advise our clients all year round. So even though we are currently buried under piles and piles of self-assessment tax returns, we somehow managed to find the time to virtually attend the live xero quarterly product update that was held this month.
Aligning the Vision
When a person decides to start a business they tend to think “what do I want to achieve”, but then rarely stop and take stock of the achievements they accomplish as they are happening. This part of the process is just as important as the initial vision setting because it can help you align what you wanted to achieve, with where you are now, and then where you want to continue going in the future. Here at Accounting Connections the team and I recently sat down to do just that.
The Endless Communication Struggle
The worst kept secret for at least the past few decades is that if you’re looking to pop a call to HMRC then you might as well take the day off work to do it because that is how long it will take you to get through (slight overdramatisation acknowledged).
Not All Heroes Wear Capes

Expanding Our Network
Our company mission is to help as many small business owners in Medway as possible with their accounting and taxation affairs. We want to be the accountants that spring to mind the minute someone says they are looking for an accountant in Medway.
The 2023 Staffing Crisis
This month we took on a few new team members on a trial basis. We welcomed them into the team and provided them with lots of support and training. Unfortunately, it turned out that they weren’t the right fit for our team, or for our clients, so the decision was made to end their trials a bit early.
Hitting a 5 year milestone
June 6th 2023 marked 5 years of me working with Accounting Connections, and what a 5 years it has been! I’ve learnt so much in my time here, and it really has flown by. I originally joined ACL on a part-time basis because, to be honest, I wasn’t sure if the accounting industry was going […]
Welcome to the Family
Here at Accounting Connections we regularly refer to our clients as our family, and this because we care about each and every one of them like their business is our business. We go that extra mile to make sure our clients are happy and that their tax plan suits their holistic needs. Our client’s appreciate this approach so much that they regularly refer our services to other business owners, friends and family alike. As a result of these continuing referrals I have found myself in a multitude of new client meetings over the past two weeks, and that is therefore the theme of today’s post.
